Sexual harassment in the workplace can be extremely harmful to employees. Thus, it is very important for employers to take all reasonable steps to ensure that their employees are not subjected to such harassment. No employee should have to face sexual harassment at work.

Recently, a workplace sexual harassment case has arisen in Iowa. The case involves an egg company in Iowa.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has alleged that some female employees of the egg company were subjected to workplace sexual harassment by a manager of the egg company. According to the EEOC, this alleged sexual harassment included sexual advances, inappropriate sexual comments and inappropriate touching. The EEOC claims that this alleged sexual harassment created a hostile work environment and caused emotional distress to its victims.

According to the Globe Gazette article which reported this story, the EEOC has brought a sexual harassment lawsuit in a federal court in Iowa against the egg company in connection to these allegations. It has been reported that this EEOC lawsuit is asking for both monetary and injunctive relief. It will be interesting to see what happens in this case and how it is ultimately resolved.

As the allegations that have been brought in this EEOC lawsuit illustrate, employees can suffer a great deal of harm when they are subjected to sexual harassment in the workplace. Thus, one hopes that all employers make sure to take all proper steps to ensure that their employees are not subjected to workplace sexual harassment.
