It is very important for employers to take proper steps to protect their employees from workplace sexual harassment. Employees shouldn't have to worry that they will be subjected to sexually harassing conduct while at work. Sexual harassment in the workplace can be extremely harmful and demeaning to employees.

It has recently been reported that a case has arisen in Texas involving allegations of workplace sexual harassment. The case involves a 28-year-old woman who works as an agent with Texas' liquor control board. According to the NBC Dallas-Fort Worth article which reported this story, the woman has worked for the agency since 2007.

The woman has alleged that she was repeatedly sexually harassed by male co-workers at the agency. According to the woman, the alleged harassment included verbal abuse and demeaning conduct. The woman also alleges that she was subjected to wrongful retaliation.

According to the NBC Dallas-Fort Worth article mentioned above, the woman has brought a federal lawsuit against the agency in connection to these allegations. In her lawsuit, the woman reportedly is seeking damages. One wonders what will happen in this case and how it will ultimately be resolved.

Sexual harassment in the workplace can cause employees to suffer a great deal of harm. Thus, one hopes that all employers take all reasonable steps to ensure that their employees are not subjected to conduct like that alleged in the case mentioned above. No employee should have to experience sexual harassment in the workplace or be subjected to wrongful retaliation.
